The Velveteen Rabbit - Watercolor Illustration.

As promised, something new. This was done for the illustration portion of my portfolio (which needs a lot of work). It's watercolor on paper, with an overlay of Prismacolor pencils. It didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped, but overall, I'm happy with the outcome. And of course, there were lessons learned along the way.

Random Paintings.

I've been very busy with my summer independent studies, so I have to apologize for all the old work I'm posting. I promise to start posting new works soon. =D

More Self Portraits In Acrylic.

A couple more from the same time period as the previous post. I was especially hung up on Romaine Brooks at that point, so my palette leaned heavily towards hers.

Self Portraits - Acrylic Paintings.

These are a couple of years old, back from when I first began working on painted portraits. I was still using acrylic at the time, and now that I've picked up working with oils, I don't know how I ever pulled these off. Acrylic just dries too fast!

Digital Butterfly Illustrations.

Two illustrations for use on a rack card mock-up. These were hand-drawn in very basic shapes then scanned into Adobe Illustrator to be sectioned into pieces. These pieces were then copied over to Adobe Photoshop, where I airbrushed in all the color and detail.

Texture Studies - Marker/Pencil Drawings.

To start with, here are a few older drawings that were done while taking an Illustration class a couple of years ago. They were all completed using Prismacolor markers on marker paper with an overlay of Prismacolor pencil.
